Over weekend around 20 AKC strong participated The 18th Rembuden taikai. The result as follow

Junior Open Gold Shino.
Men's Kyu Open Silver Tony.
Junior Dan Silver Lindo.
Men's Senior Dan Gold Nick.
Women's Kyu Gold Shino, Silver Clay, Women's Dan Gold Shawn,
Teams Bronze AKC A

What a great result and achievement. Here we would like to thank everyone who represented AKC this time. Your hard training and commitments has paid off. You made yourself proud and AKC proud.
We would like also thank to our coach Oscar and head coach Kirk for their efforts towards to the team. Also thanks for the guidance of Graham and Alan Sensei . We could not done better without their advise. Also thanks Naoko san for her endless support to the team (shooting and uploading our shiai video very week, It was great help to improve the team performance. And thanks to our team manager Sayuri Takeyama san for her hard work over the weekend. And thanks to AKC and Takumi kendo Gu for their sponsorship for this and past event. Lastly we would like thank Rembuden who organised this event. Thankbyou for your hard work. It was fantastic event, and we will continue sending representatives in the future .

Let keep this momutun going. Novice champion ship is one month ahead. Let's recreate our victory again !

There is a change to the October timetable. We have a training session on Labour Day Monday 23rd from 5pm to 6:30pm. Mr Yasuo Aoyama who is 7th dan in Kendo from Aichi prefecture will be visiting us on that day. Beginners self training is also on at the same time. See you everyone at AKC dojo on Labour Day!

This Saturday 30th September is the first day of NEW BEGINNERS CLASS TIMETABLE start (9:30am~11am).
The Asageiko starts at 8am as usual.
This Sunday 1st of October is the Women Only Training day from 3pm, so no regular Sunday training. There will be extra squad training from 2pm as well. I suggest the members who are going to Rembuden Taikai to attend the extra squad training.
