Hi everyone,

Our AKC members who attended to the 11th Novice Championships this weekend did really well! Thank you Waikato Kendo Club for hosting the event! We had wonderful time and made a great memories. Special thank you to Nori Sensei for his wonderful guidance during events and we look forward to practicing with him at AKC on Monday night(12th November.
The result is below.

Kohtaro Sai
Youth division: 1st place.
Men’s Kyu division: 2nd place.
Fighting spirit award.

Shino Yotsumoto
Women’s Kyu division: 1st place.
Women’s Dan division: 2nd place.

Genzui Kudo
Team division: 1st place(AKC A).

Kent Tanimukai
Team division: 1st place(AKC A).
Men’s Dan division: Fighting spirit award.

Ren Sayer
Team division: 1st place(AKC A).
Men’s Dan division: 2nd place.

Our Beginners & kid class this morning. Our youngest male student Kohtaro Sai executing Kakari-geiko or continuous cuts on Sensei Graham. Sai went on for a minute and half with no drop in determination and effort. Not an easy feat especially for a pint sized youngster up against a nanadan Titan. Well done Sai san. ... Our iaido and Kendo Members will be putting on a demonstration at the Taste of Japan Festival this weekend. Please tell your mates and if you have time come along and take lots of photos to put on your social media please.
